Boeing 777 Freighter Takes To The Skies

The much anticipated first flight of the 777 Freighter took place today. The 777F is the sixth member of the immensely popular 777 family.
The flight kicks off a shortened test and certification effort due to culminate with delivery scheduled to launch customer Air France by December 2008.

By early 2009, other customers such as China Southern Airlines and Emirates SkyCargo will also have taken delivery of their first 777 Freighters.
Total orders for the 777F stand at 78 from 11 customers as at time of writing.

Seems that the first flight was hit with a tech/transmission fault.
Oh well, minor issue in reality.
