Delta’s Looking Good
At the start of 2008, Delta Airlines was making headlines.
With fears of an impending US recession, followed by two very quick rate cuts by the Federal Reserve, Delta is gearing up to take delivery of its first Boeing 777-200LR.
Delta’s ambitions are big. Talks are underway with a number of rival US airlines with a view to merge. Of the numerous carriers that suffered in the wake of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, Delta has been a beacon of light since exiting bankruptcy.

Delta also gets the privilege of being the first US carrier to take delivery of the world’s longest ranged airplane, the 777-200LR.
The airline will eventually operate a fleet of five of these airplanes based on current commitments.
It won’t be long before we see this beauty take to the skies….
