Airport
Busier and busier airports hinder journeys before they even get started.
Pushing the baggage trolley through aisles of crowded men, women, children and those staring into space. The novelty of that trip in the air almost seems as dull as riding a bus downtown.

Security checks, arriving earlier to check in, no liquids unless purchased airside, random and sometimes intrusive questioning, baggage dimension restrictions and more has dampened passenger enthusiasm for being at any airport prior to boarding.
Thank heavens for Wi-Fi then.
Aside from the invariable delays on the ground once aboard the airplane, the obstacles in the way of the route to the airplane from the terminal forecourt seems more arduous than at any point in modern history.
Global terrorism has for now, put paid to the ease of visiting and transiting major hubs - collectively we all have a responsibility to check that we comply and adhere to local laws and regulations and ensure that that is done prior to arrival at the airport itself, a task which is probably seldom, if at all done.
